The Mission Behind the Merchandise

The Oddity Dept is a passion project run by a retired NASA aerospace engineer who traded rocket science for a different kind of mission: standing up for kids who need it most.

I'm an active volunteer with local children's charities that support kids removed by the State and law enforcement from unsafe homes due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Public funding rarely covers everything these children need, so the organizations I work with step in and provide clothing, shoes, birthday gifts, summer activities, graduation celebrations, and emergency assistance when it matters most.

This shop is one small way I support that work. Proceeds help sustain my volunteer efforts for the children's charities I serve, so every shirt you buy helps keep that work going, and you get a fun, original design in return.
